Currently Google indicates they have hundreds of millions of Gmail users. Google Chat was part of Gmail with video and voice chat added in 2008. In 2009, Google added Google Voice. In June, Google Voice was opened to all users.

Last year, Apple rejected the Google Voice iPhone app resulting in a fight from Google.

The question was raised during today’s Google Voice/Gmail press conference. Last year, controversy erupted when Apple rejected the Google Voice iPhone app. Craig Walker, the group product manager for Google Voice, said that “nothing has changed” since Google, Apple and AT&T submitted their letters to the FCC last year.
