HTC incredible details leaked


The Incredible will feature a 3.7in OLED multi-touch capacitive screen, a fast 1GHz Snapdragon processor and integrated GPS, according to leaked product details that have appeared on gadget website BoyGeniusReport.

The device – a follow-up to the critically acclaimed HTC Desire – will have an eight-megapixel camera, built-in Wi-Fi for high speed web access, 8GB of storage, which can be increased using a microSD card, push Gmail and Exchange email, and fast access to social-networking services through HTC's Sense user interface. The handset will run Google's Android operating system.

Crucially, the device will also support Flash, the Adobe technology used to display internet video, which is missing from Apple's iPhone and other multimedia products.

HTC, the Taiwanese handset maker, has cornered the market for Android-based phones. It built Google's Nexus One device, and its Desire handset is widely considered to be the most powerful Android phone ever made.

Speculation is rife that HTC may seek to acquire Palm, the troubled US phone-maker behind the Pre. HTC is contemplating whether or not it should create its own operating system for its mobile devices, rather than relying on Windows Mobile and Android as it currently does. If it were to acquire Palm, it could use a version of the acclaimed WebOS platform to power its phones
