Limera1n jailbreak iOS 4.1 Aviable on Mac

Last week Geohot gave all Apple jailbreaking fanatics something to get excited about with their new jailbreak tool Limera1n which allowed jailbreaking of the iPhone 4. Well, those people’s prayers have been answered as Limera1n can now be loaded from a Mac. The jailbreak tool isn’t just limited to the iPhone 4 however, as it is actually an iOS 4.1 jailbreak which works on any device which uses the latest Apple OS (so you iPad and iPod Touch owners can get excited too).

As we all know by now that members of the iPhone Dev-Team have been working hard to come up with the updated version of PwnageTool to jailbreak iOS 4.1. A respected member of the iPhone Dev-Team, @wizdaz has successfully ported the tool to work with PwnageTool. Ultrasn0w unlockers should wait for PwnageTool.

As with the Windows build, Mac users simply connect their device to the computer, launch the "Limera1n" application, click the “make it rain” button in Limera1n’s interface, follow the on-screen instructions to enter DFU mode, and allow the tool to finalize the jailbreak.
